MIG WELDING COURSE
WITH SUBSEQUENT TESTING TO BS4872 part 2.
This course is structured to assess the candidate's ability in TIG/MIG welding ofaluminium and its alloys. To prove by subsequent testing the competency of the candidate in accordance with requirements of BS4872. The weld joint designs shall relate to the applications, pertinent to the candidate's requirements at their place of work.
Contents
Health & Safety as applied to the TIG/MIG welding process (lecture and videos.
Identification of weld defects, porosity, undercut,lack of fusion.
Volts and Amperage setting recommendations.
Identification and recommendation of electrodes and filler wires to comply with standards.
Preparation of weld test joints.
Correct setting up of weld test joints.
Identification of the full requirements of BS4872 prior to course commencement.
Demonstration of all weld applications during the course and prior to final test.
DURATION
5 DAYS subject to constant assessment.
CERTIFICATION BS4872 Welder Approval Certification.
