ADVANCED T.I.G (TUNGSTEN INERT GAS)

WELDING COURSE

This course is structured for delegates who have previous T.I.G welding experience and aims to further the delegate's skills to weld conventional joints in plate and pipe (multi-positional).

CONTENTS 

Health & Safety as applied to T.I.G welding (lecture and videos).

Welding defects/fault analysis and correction.

AC/DC applications as applicable.

Setting up and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum results.

Identification of filler wires and gases.

Autogenous fusion runs on outside corners (multi-positional).

Fillet welds and lap joints in the Horizontal vertical, Vertical and Overhead positions.

Multi-positional butt joints in plate and pipe.

Purging recommendations and applications.

 

MATERIALS

Carbon steel, Stainless steel, Aluminium.

(Whichever is necessary for the application.)
